I’ve never been one to shy away from shiny things and blinding sparkle, which usually makes the impending New Year my favorite time to buy an over the top embellished dress for the occasion.
I decided to find my shine this year in the form of a golden blazer, coated denim and statement necklace. With parties and dinners leading up the iconic ball dropping, I found a subtle nod to my sparkle obsession struck the perfect balance.

I’m so excited to have some much needed down time in my hometown. NYC is amazing but there is nothing like a Southern Christmas. Grandma’s pecan pie and fried turkey are always two of my favorites and of course eggnog anything is a small obsession of mine.
I hope everyone has an amazing holiday season celebrating with friends and loved ones!
Merry Christmas y’all!
Although I love the energy of NYC, it’s always a welcomed change to settle back into my family life in NC-especially during the holidays. This year, the weather has been unseasonably warm (75 degrees) which to be honest, was a necessity for me having faced the first month of the deep freeze up North.
I took full advantage of the warm weather and relaxing surroundings and immediately slipped into one of my favorite wardrobe uniforms: Worn in denim and a white, slouchy top. Finding a denim soul-mate is priceless and while I seem to have many, my pair of AG’s have the X factor I can never seem to replicate.

With our flight just hours away, I’m getting excited at the thought of being home for the holidays. This time of year is always hectic and usually includes travel of some mode. That being said, I knew this moto-inspired sweater/coat was the perfect mix of cozy and stylish for my flight.
Safe travels to everyone and happy holiday lovelies!

As our trip home to North Carolina approaches for the holidays, we spent this past weekend finishing our Christmas shopping, catching up with friends and enjoying the city during the snow.
After a jammed packed Saturday running errands in the never-ending flurries (the Rockefeller tree did look particularly magical with the snowflakes), Sunday was spent brunching with amazing friends at Asiate (the view is fantastic and the tasting menu….life changing), strolling through a snow dusted Central Park and warming up with a cup of joe.
Perfect rain boots with triple buckle detailing for the NYC slush. ~ Boots: Burberry (also love these)
Amazing view over cocktails and Sunday brunch.
The tasting menu at Asiate for brunch is a must with friends.
Pumpkin pie martini & pistachio//candied orange waffles with chantilly creme. Delish!
The magic of the tree at Rockefeller Center.
Latte art at Blue Bottle Coffee.
Bundled for the first snow….Canada Goose was my salvation.
I couldn’t resist the blue boxes at Tiffany.
A cozy hat is a must.
