Peachy

Neutrals are fabulous!  Easy, versatile and usually posses a comfort factor.  It’s funny, but when I scan my closet, a large majority of my favorite pieces are grey, black, blush or white.  I’m all for a bold pop of color, but you can never go wrong layering on classic basics in softer tones.

I was tempted to go for this sweater is black, but I loved the peachy, blush tone and am glad I did.  It so comfy and will be on high rotation as a perfect neutral.

Spring in my step

I always tend to buy multiples of my favorite things. If I’m in search of the perfect chambray top, I usually end up with 3 different, but equally loved variations.  Recently, the common thread in all of my shoe purchases has been neutral, neutral, neutral.  I love a shoe that will work with everything yet not take away from other outfit details.  So, in a effort to break my “safe” color cycle, I decided a bold pop of color was in order (also a bonus during the notoriously darker Winter months).  It may not be Spring yet, but at least my feet think so!

Getting Warmer…

get warm close

Last year’s Winter was quite literally unbearable-especially coming from Sydney.  Fortunately this year has not been as bad….yet.  It’s still felt like a sub-zero deep freeze stepping outside this past week and throughout the weekend, but layering a warm and fuzzy accessory definitely kept me cozy.

I have inherited a few real fur pieces over the years from my Nanna which are amazing, but I also love a really good faux version.  I snapped this one up two years ago and love the color and texture.  Regardless of your view on faux vs. real, adding texture combined with the additional warmth always elevates any outfit.
