Hands down, Sunday’s are my favorite day of the week and this one past, although chilly, was super relaxing. Totally over the snow, I decided my gray direction needed a pop of color. Brunch, followed by a stroll through the Winter wonderland that was Central Park ended with yummy nibbles and the Oscars.

It seems like the bane of my fashion existence has always been finding jeans or pants that fit my short frame. I’ve accepted it’s usually a forgone conclusion that I will inevitably have to visit a tailor shortly after every purchase. I hate to admit it, but more times than not, I’ve even purchased denim that I kinda like just because the inseam magically fits. I can’t help but give into the excitement.
Enter the Peg leg: A classic silhouette that lends it’s self to any height but especially friendly to the vertically challenged. I love the cut of Topshop’s version. The high-waist is bang on trend and gray pairs perfectly with my love of the color pink.

With Valentine’s Day approaching, I usually hate being a cliche and wearing red or pink, unless it’s a small pop of the color. All that goes out the window when I spot anything in one of my favorite colors: Poppy red. I typically gravitate towards neutrals in sweaters, but the color just makes you want to smile, even if you’re having a terrible day. I love the billowy sleeve on this cropped sweater and the cozy knit is perfect for the lingering snow we still seem to be getting in NYC.

One of the many joys of living in NYC is the abundance of snow. At least for the past 2 years, we’ve seen our fair share-especially coming from Sydney. Of course at first it’s magical and lovely, but if it hangs around for to long, it can get pretty ugly and quite frankly a pain in the ass….and the foot!
When the first flake hits, I know wearing some of my favorite shoes or heels in general is at my own risk. Weather and shoes have never been friends. The minute I can see the first patch of ground, my feet always silently scream yippee!
