A chunky heel is always a must in my book and especially now that they are having their moment in the sun. What’s not to love: the statement the heel makes, the comfort factor and of course the new heights shorter girls can reach. I purchased these Marni heels at a sample sale in Sydney a couple of years ago. They are some of my favorites and always on point in the style department. Marni does some great chunky foot candy, but I’ve also come across other that I’m crushing on.
Currently loving the chunkiness of:
1. Love the black and cognac combo in these.
2. Metallics are always perfection (and on sale!)
3. Gladiator version of the chunky.
4. Perfect white for Summer.
5. Indulge the mule trend with Tibi’s version.
6. DKNY nude on nude
7. A.P.C. full platform sandal.
Each year, my husband and brother-and-law take their annual ski trip out West. Typically my sister and I have stayed back as I have flown in from overseas and prefer the quality time with her. However; now that we’re officially US residents, I’m on the hunt for the proper accoutrements for the bunny slopes this year. As I’m not the most gifted skier, I am convinced that my fabulous Tahoe inspired scarf will distract from this minor detail 🙂
Happy Turkey Day!

When I was young, I was a total tomboy. Hard to believe if you know me now, but my favorite toys were G.I. Joe’s and race cars and I despised the color pink. This could be why I feel so strongly about owning at least one uber girly piece, and mine had to be a full on tutu. I’ll admit, I got some strange looks from my husband when I purchased this, to which I replied, “Every girl needs a tutu”. (Mine just came 20 years later) I love it! Paired with a neutral shoe and classic top, I was able to make up for my missed childhood experience. 🙂

I have never been a fan of dreary days, dragged down by the somber darkness of low hanging clouds and sporadic showers that always seem to hit right as you need to go somewhere. The view from our apartment is consumed by greyness. In an attempt to not let my mood match the weather outside, I promptly decided to put on one of my happiest and brightest sweater dresses …of course. It’s amazing how color really does affect my mood (Insert smile here) 🙂
