After taking some much needed time off and now calling NYC home for 3 years, sometimes all I crave is simplicity. There was something so relaxing about living out of one carry on suitcase for 7 days. Almost made me want to do a huge closet purge….almost 🙂
Recently, I’ve been building my accessory collection. Basic denim, clean pumps and a crisp white shirt are instantly elevated with a few key pieces. A pop of color on the nail, tortoise sunnies and golden details pull everything together.
Denim: Citizens of Humanity (love this color and this color), Top: Vince (similar here), Belt: Hermes, Sunnies: Celine, Bag: Sophie Hulme, Shoes: Christian Louboutin (similar here), Nails: Chanel, Ring: Jennifer Fisher.
Sweater: Theory (old) similar here & here, Denim: FRAME (also here) Shoes: Vince (similar here), Bag: Saint Laurent, Sunnies: Ray-Ban.

Texture is always something that pulls me in. The ideal of a cozy knit with a high chunk factor is irresistible, especially with frigid New York temperatures. The woven detail on this piece is fantastic. I have paired it with almost everything in my closet, making a simple sweater my key piece that elevates any outfit.
Sweater: Ulla Johnson (similar here, here & here), Denim: Citizens of Humanity (similar color here), Sunnies: Illesteva (similar here), Bag: Prada, Shoes: Christian Louboutin (similar here).

Ever since our trip to Paris, I’ve been obsessed with stripes. Admittedly, I already had a fairly large section dedicated to them in my closet, but I can’t help adding new pieces, as they are a perfect neutral without being boring. There’s something so classic yet so versatile about stripes. They can take on an entirely new life paired with leather and ripped jeans vs. a girly skirt and sweet flats. Sunday felt like a stripe kinda day.
Denim: Citizens of Humanity, Top: Zara (similar here), Bag: Gucci (also love this color), Flats: Chloe, Sunnies: Tom Ford, Scarf: Isabel Marant (similar here).
So I was totally hoping to pair my white denim with a tank and some amazing wedges (and a beach side cocktail), but quickly dropped back into reality when the snow started coming down again on Sunday. I love a pair of white jeans and already own a few pairs that I looked long and hard for. This season, I was missing a basic pair with minimal distressing. I had a few finalist in the mix and ultimately all would have worked, but I decided the simplicity and fit of the FRAME’s were spot on.
Denim: Frame (also love these), Chambray shirt: Frank & Eileen (similar here), Stripe tee: NSF (similar here), Jacket: Topshop (similar here), Bootie: Sandro (similar here), Sunnies: Oliver Peoples, Bag: Proenza Schouler (similar here).
*Also love these and these for distressed white denim.
