Being that it’s St. Paddy’s Day weekend, I decided to avoid getting pinched by wearing not one but two green pieces. With Pantone declaring emerald as the color of the year, it was easy for me to create an outfit centered around the color, that I actually like. In the past, I was never a fan of green and usually boycotted the popular color choice on St. Paddy’s. However; with mint running rampant in my closet this Spring and the amazing shades of emerald abundant, I loved infusing this color palette into my look.
Every year, when the weather begins to warm, I can’t wait to add some lighter colors to my denim collection. I think it’s safe to say, white pants or jeans always pose a challenge when searching for the perfect pair. This year proved to be no different for me. After an exhaustive search, here are my top picks!
White denim: (from left to right)
J Brand 811 Mid rise: You can never go wrong with J Brand. I love the edgier feel the slight distressing gives this pair.
7FAM The Skinny: Another staple piece from 7FAM. Basic skinny with a high comfort factor.
Citizen of Humanity Carlton jeans: Perfect for the shorter girls with a cropped inseam. The 12 inch leg opening gives these a more casual feel.

Blank NYC denim: One of my favorites if you are after a slim fit down to the ankle. True to size and thinker material. No see through pockets.
DL1961 Emma: One of the thicker options-a true jean material, but with a legging feel. DL1961 is known for their fit and the Emma is my top pick out of their styles.
Joe’s Jeans: Super soft and not see through. Joe’s fit true to size and very comfortably. Perfect for beach walks and BBQ’s.
Current/Elliott The Boyfriend: The white version of it’s sibling. Perfect boyfriend fit, as usual from Current/Elliott.
Current/Elliott The Stiletto: Also one of my top picks. Thick, soft denim fitted through to the ankle. Perfect for a casual cuff or dressing up.
Mother high rise: Known for an amazing fit, Mother delivers with a high rise version of the basic white jean.
Sunshine at last!….and the perfect excuse to slowly incorporate spring trends into my wardrobe. I love that nautical is already popping up everywhere, considering I love stripes and anything inspired by the coast.
To keep the trend from looking to literal, I decided to pair a darker blazer and similar hued rolled jeans to keep a neutral look. The finishing touch, a pop of hot pink….naturally!

After settling back into work, a new time zone and warmer weather, I was ready for a relaxing weekend back in Sydney. Unfortunately, the bright and sunny Australia Day was followed by a monsoon of rain and wind (perfect weather for Hunter’s).
Feeling a bit blah, due to my dismal surroundings, I decided to tap into my inner sunshine and rebel against my grey surroundings with hot pink…..of course! Sunday brunch at Bill’s (accompanied by a very large umbrella) was the perfect recipe for a brighter outlook.
Blazer: Zara (similar here & here), Jeans: Current/Elliott (similar here), Top-old (similar here & here), Sunnies: Urban Outfitters (similar here), Shoes: Christian Louboutin, Necklace (pink): Moon & Lola, Necklace (jewels): Forever 21 (similar here & here), Bracelet: Michael Kors (similar here & here), Watch: Anthropologie, (similar here & here) Earrings: Kendra Scott
One of my favorite ways to relax is stepping through the doors of the Charleston Place Hotel in South Carolina. It’s old Southern charm is so welcoming and with full Christmas trimmings, it’s a stunning way to spend an afternoon. I typically avoid frilly, girly skirts (even being from the South), but I just couldn’t resist this one. With chunky jewellery and a denim jacket, I found a balance that I could work with.
Jacket: Current/Elliott, Skirt: Forever 21, Tank: Nation LTD, Tights: Hue (similar here), Booties: Barneys, Sunnies: Westward Leaning, Bracelet-leopard: Copper Penny, Cuff: Charlotte’s (Raleigh, NC), Lips: Makeup Forever #40
With their refreshing, minty smell, unlimited Christmas decorating uses and wrapping red stripes, candy canes are one of my favorite holiday treats. Starbucks Peppermint mocha is always my guilty pleasure while looking at lights Christmas Eve. I’m certain I’d get some looks if I literally translated my favorite holiday confection into a look, so instead I used it as a fun inspiration. Yum!
Jeans: Rag & Bone/jean (similar here), Sweater: Rag & Bone/jean-old (new version here), Jacket: Current/Elliott, Boots: Hunter, Scarf-old (similar here), Sunnies: Ray-Ban, Socks: Falke, Earrings: Sheila Fajl
My slightly odd obsession with owl’s manifests itself in many ways….owl teapot, owl measuring cups…the list continues. So when I came across this rather unique tank, I had to have it. I mean, who could pass up a street chic, nocturnal bird with a fabulous hat.
I’m not usually a graphic tee kind of gal; however, I do have a small collection of various finds that I had to add to my wardrobe. I love how a simple article of clothing has the ability to express your personality.
