One staple piece that lends itself to any season is a leather pencil skirt. The silhouette alone is a classic and I love the luxe feel leather can add to any piece of clothing. I snapped this beauty up last year on sale no less, when I saw the zipper detailing. It’s super versatile letting me position the zip in the front, back or as a thigh high slit.
I decided to pair down the leather with a basic tee, and add girlie accessories as a contrast to the edgier elements.

It absolutely feels like Summer is in full effect and with the 4th right around the corner, crisp white denim and flirty tops are on my mind. I unintentionally had a red, white & blue moment over the weekend (already dreaming of beaches, BBQ & fireworks). I decided to revisit the peplum trend, loving it’s shorter sibling that lends itself to oceanfront festivities.

With warmer weather on the horizon and a new work gig, I decided it was time for a much needed chop. I’ve always been a bit nervous about cutting any more that 1 inch off my hair so when my stylist took a little over 3, I took a sigh of relief when I realized I loved it. With an 85 degree weekend, I was happy to shed my locks….for now 🙂

Now that Spring is finally upon us, pastels and lighter versions of Winter’s color counterparts are popping up everywhere. One piece of clothing I could not live without is my denim jacket. Admittedly, I have about 5 in my closet in various shades of blue, but all on the darker side. My go to has been a beloved one I’ve had for years – and has the tatters to prove it. The fit is immaculate and it just works. When I stumbled upon it’s lighter equivalent (minus the holes) I was in love. The particular shade of blue is amazing and already feel the heaviness starting to melt away.

Temperatures are dropping by the minute in NYC, but that doesn’t mean I have to look like the Michelin Man. A fabulous accessory is a must have when cold weather hits, and with these cozy picks all sub $150, they’re hard to resist!

I have always been on-board with the cape trend. Each season, yummy iterations hit the stores and I’m always obsessed. I find though, that being petite, I can sometimes look like I’m playing dress up with volumes of fabric overwhelming my frame. A few years ago, I found my solution: The cape sweater. A hot pink version was my first purchase, quickly followed by the more basic, black courtesy of Vince.
I firmly believe every girl needs a cape 🙂
