Although New York in Winter can be beautiful, I have come to the conclusion I am much more comfortable in a warmer climate. I am so cold natured and have chihuahua-like tendencies (shivering incessantly) whenever the temperature dips below freezing. I’ve managed to find fashionable salvation in my leather jacket paired with a warm and fuzzy accessory. I couldn’t help hearing “take my breath away” in my head with the addition of mirrored aviators 🙂

I’ve never been one to shy away from shiny things and blinding sparkle, which usually makes the impending New Year my favorite time to buy an over the top embellished dress for the occasion.
I decided to find my shine this year in the form of a golden blazer, coated denim and statement necklace. With parties and dinners leading up the iconic ball dropping, I found a subtle nod to my sparkle obsession struck the perfect balance.

I’m loving that jumpsuits are all the rage for the Fall, considering this trend carries over from the Summer rompers that I was obsessed with. A one piece is such a versatile addition, especially in a neutral color. I spotted this one from DVF a couple of years ago and loved that the shift to a longer sleeve, makes this the perfect transition piece from Summer to Fall. The fact that it was a deep navy was a bonus in my sea of basic black.
I have been so tempted recently to cross over to the dark side after tearing through the pages of every publication’s September issue. I love the influx of rich tones that run through each brand in some form or another. However, pops of electric tones seem to be hanging on from the warmer months, and I have to say….oh yes! I love the hot pink and electric blue against the pure white of a crisp blazer, but can also see these vibrant colors pairing nicely with the Merlot, deep green and noir’s the changing season will inevitably bring.

Being that it’s St. Paddy’s Day weekend, I decided to avoid getting pinched by wearing not one but two green pieces. With Pantone declaring emerald as the color of the year, it was easy for me to create an outfit centered around the color, that I actually like. In the past, I was never a fan of green and usually boycotted the popular color choice on St. Paddy’s. However; with mint running rampant in my closet this Spring and the amazing shades of emerald abundant, I loved infusing this color palette into my look.
Since meeting my husband, I have grown to love travel. He is a travel bug, whereas (I hate to admit) I really had not left the country until we met. At first I was just intrigued, but once I had a few trips under my belt, I was hooked (along with the discovery of Xanex for the lengthy flights!)
The merge of culture and fashion always result in some of the most amazing creations. The owners of Theodora & Callum epitomize this theory through their beyond gorgeous scarves. Each print is reminiscent of a fabulous place that has inspired the designers and really captures the location’s essence through fashion.
With it’s abundance of volcanoes and a warm tropical climate, Java’s namesake scarf fits the island to a tee!
