When planning our 5 year anniversary, my husband and I unanimously agreed it was back to Anguilla we go. We discovered this secluded island in 2012 on our honeymoon and visited again in 2015.  The people, food and of course the surroundings make this spot super relaxing and definitely an escape from NYC.

I thought I’d share a few pics to start as I’ll be doing a part 2 on the food and where go on the island.  We are already planning our next trip!

C is for Chanel

When deciding on an investment accessory, there is no better purchase than Chanel.  Sure, it comes with a large price tag (one that seems to be increasing by the minute) but the classics are timeless and always work.

My first and only piece, thus far, was the classic flap.  I had it in my sights for sometime and after many hours of research, and many months of saving, I welcomed my first member to the family in Hawaii in 2011.  Since then, the flap has been my go to for everything from cut-offs to formal attire.  As Chanel lovers know, the construction of the bag is phenomenal and works equally well as a cross-body and a shoulder bag.  With the release of the Boy Bag, I’m definitely ready for my next investment.  My only issue….which color.  #chanelproblems 🙂

Double Up

Having always loved my denim, I’m a sucker for a good double dose of it.  When I stumbled upon these vintage, distressed gems in Sydney a few years ago (and paid 20 dollars-score), I knew they would join my collection.  Natural or man-made, a good pair of cutoffs are essential for warmer weather-and I personally believe, make any Summer more fabulous!

Equipped

When it comes to versatility, I have yet to come across a piece of clothing more universal than Equipment’s silky tops.  My first purchase from this iconic brand was a long sleeve signature blouse in a vibrant coral hue.  Seven more have since joined my wardrobe and although I am partial to the cheeky printed ones, the simple lines of the crisp white sleeveless version gets paired with everything, year-round.  I love how just the simple addition of a collar peaking out can instantly take casual to something a bit more polished.
