A trench is one of those pieces that everyone should own and no one does them better than Burberry. I’m a bit partial as the brand is one of my favorites in all departments (their cashmere scarves are saviors in Wintertime). I went back and forth between the classic trench tan vs. the black and ultimately chose the black for a dressier feel.
Regardless of the brand, a well tailored trench is worth every penny. It’s an essential piece, really year round, but was perfect for the windy, cool weekend we just had in NYC.
Trench: Burberry (love this one too), Jeans: Topshop (similar here), Sweater: Michael Kors (similar here & here), Shoes: Aquazzura (love this color too), Clutch: Clare Vivier, Sunnies: Ray-Ban, Watch: Nixon-20% off sitewide-FALL20 (rose gold version).
I feel like everyone has one piece in their closet that really screams their personality. For me, it’s my electric pink, cashmere dress. I’ll admit, this was definitely an investment piece, and with the color being so bright, I has my reservations.
However; the fact that I love pink (this particular shade was simply stunning) and the material played right into my weakness for cashmere, I knew this piece was me. The versatility has been amazing and I love the fact that it’s technically a cooler weather dress but refuses to give into the whole “it’s cold and miserable, therefore I must be an equally dark color”. I always love clothing with attitude 🙂
Sweater dress: Michael Kors~old (love this one & this one), Booties: Steve Madden, Clutch: Clare Vivier, Scarf: Theodora & Callum-sold out (similar here), Sunnies: Westward Leaning, Bracelet: Bauble Bop.
Camo is one of those prints that rotates into fashion over and over again. At first, I was a bit hesitant considering I had seen some interpretations that were a bit to literal. However; I quickly came around with Rag & Bone’s version. I love the subtle nod, versus full on military style, and of course hot pink was my natural choice to add the perfect girly pop.
Jeans: Rag & Bone (also here), Top: Michael Kors-old (similar here), Scarf: Love Quotes, Shoes: Converse, Sunnies:Ray-Ban.
One of my favorite and key pieces is my blush blazer. It was such a perfect find (on sale)! and works year round. I have to admit, with Spring/Summer ushering in beautiful, breezy days, pastels are my natural direction. Blush serves perfectly as a neutral but with warmth, which makes it one of my favorites.
Blazer: H&M (similar here & here), Shorts: Dion Lee-sold out (similar here), Tank: Vince, Belt: J.Crew, Heels: Jimmy Choo (similar here), Clutch: Sophie Hulme, Necklace: Gemma Redux, Sunnies: Barton Perreira, Bracelet: Michael Kors, Nails: Chanel Azure
It’s no secret that one of my favorite accessory destinations is Gemma Redux. I’m so obsessed, that their annual sample sale has me setting my alarm for 2 and 3am (one of the down sides to living in the opposite time zone) 🙂 I never play favorites with my collection, but the Omne is by far my most versatile piece. I love that it can morph from necklace to bracelet and has endless styling options depending on my mood.

One item I literally have multiple variations of is the little black dress. It always provides the perfect opportunity for my accessories to run a bit wild. I loved the extra volume and shape of this piece, and the fact that I can belt it for a totally different look, cinched the deal (so to speak) 🙂

This week was super busy and jam packed. A business trip to Melbourne proved a bit stressful with bumpy flights both ways (I’m not a good flyer) and horrible weather. Melbourne is one of those cities that getting lost is the best way to find something special, which is exactly how I found some of my top spots.
Unfortunately with an early flight, I had very little time to visit my favorite haunts, but of course, I made the most of what I did have. After a quick bite at one of my favorite hole in the wall cafes, I had just enough time to visit Koko Black for some dark chocolate cherry truffles and a breeze through the most amazing vintage boutique. I immediately spotted a gorgeous snakeskin clutch that I knew was a fantastic find. It was in perfect vintage condition from the 1970’s. After a quick swipe of my credit card, I had just enough time to hail a cab in the rain for the airport!
Blazer: Elizabeth & James-sold out (similar here & love this one), Skirt worn as dress: Tracy Reese (similar here & here), Shoes: Christian Louboutin, Clutch: Vintage, Sunnies: Ray-Ban, Earrings: Sweetie Pie, Bracelet: Michael Kors (similar here and here).
