Fashion is all about self expression, and love nothing more than mixing not so obvious pieces together to create something unique and new. I’ve had this striped dress in my closet for years, and adore the color and style. By adding a cozy sweater and bright accessories, my favorite dress was transformed into something totally different. Sometimes shopping your own closet is all the inspiration needed.
Chinatown is one of my favorite areas to shop, eat and observe. With the Chinese New Year upon us, the city has been bursting with activity and celebrations, kicking off the Year of the Snake. With serpent inspiration everywhere, I followed suit with my own interpretation on the festivities.

My chambray shirt has been my go to pretty much from the moment I purchased it. It’s the perfect neutral without being basic. I have never been much of a fan of denim on denim (bad 80’s visions running through my head), however; I consider chambray a distant enough cousin to the jean and love pairing them together. It’s such an easy look, and really lets the insanely gorgeous wash of the jeans shine.

Last year I stumbled upon what soon became my “live in” sweater from Rag & Bone/jean. I love white or cream pieces, but I am that girl that will no doubt spill something on anything white (never the darker colors of course), so for that reason, I usually avoid it. However; the nubby, soft material lured me in and I happily took my new sweater home, despite my fears. It was perfect, under jean jackets, with leggings, over skirts….the list goes on.
When I saw this years version from Rag & Bone, I was instantly hooked. Same nubby, fluffy composition but with some additions (shorter, whiter and somehow softer than its predecessor). It’s what I imagine a cloud to feel like. I can’t wait for the first cold snap!
