Wrapped in Soho

One of my favorite ways to spend a Saturday is wandering through the streets of Soho.  I always looked forward to this when we were just visitors to NYC, and now it’s still hard to believe I can make this a weekly trip.  Soho fits my style to a tee with it’s cobble stone streets always populated by laid back, street chic locals.  I have always felt the best in a great pair of jeans, worn in tee and a scarf…of course.  My weapon of choice for neck-wear: Theodora & Callum.

I’ve been trying out different ways to tie recently and on tap for my day out was the pretzel (love this video).  I modified it slightly by tucking in the hanging bits, but loved the texture it created.

I’m always up for a fabulous party dress or an insane pair of heels, but sometimes-especially weekends-the high tops and cap come out to play.  Even though my look is definitely casual, the cashmere sweater and red lip gives me the luxe detailing that stays true to my sense of style.

My zippered kicks will definitely be coming with me this weekend on my trip down South. I have to admit, the 70 degree forecast has me giddy along with some birthday time with my adorable Nephew!

Neon Lights

neonlightscrossbNYC has seen it’s fair share of snow recently.  Being a Southerner, this is the most I’ve experienced in my lifetime.  With the City being blanketed in white for the better part of January, I found my obnoxiously bright hat and sweater were perfect against the snow.  I have quickly learned happy colors are a must in order to survive Winter here ~That or a trip to Bora Bora 🙂
