How is it that something as simple as a bright color can also brighten the day? Hot pink is such a mood lifter and these shorts are some of the happiest I’ve ever come across. With the Pride Parade on over the weekend, bursting with every color of the rainbow, what better time to add to the color spectrum. A crisp white shirt and garden party inspired heels pull everything together for a clean and polished look.

My favorite time of year is hands down Fall. With pumpkin infused into literally everything, turning leaves and sweet treats, the beginning of the holiday season is in full swing. Here are a few Fall tidbits that are currently inspiring me…
Candle: Nest in pumpkin chai, Polish: Essie in poor li’l rich girl, Scroll pumpkin: Pier 1, Lip balm: Mor.

Although cooler months are ahead, I can’t seem to totally commit to wrapping myself in layers yet. I love a good cabernet (wine and color) 🙂 – so this pencil was right up my ally. I decided pairing a cropped top and peep toe bootie made my migration to the dark-side a little easier.
Top: Zara (also similar here), Skirt: 3.1 Phillip Lim (similar here & here), Booties: Steve Madden, Sunnies: Westward Leaning, Earrings: Sweetie Pie Jewelry.
At the beginning of each season, especially major temperature shifts, I always take stock of what I have and what I gravitate towards for the coming months. Major trends flood the magazines and while some I absolutely love, I also make sure to search for the pieces that have staying power as well. These are good basics that have just a suttle nod to the trends vs. the extreme translations.
With cooler temperatures approaching, I pulled together my top pics that create the perfect refresh for A/W.

Simplicity is always a good place to start, at least when it comes to a good sheath dress. I love that head on, this dress lets the vibrant amethyst color shine, but from the back, an unexpected cutout adds perfect detailing. The cool purple pairs perfectly with a spicy nail and necklace.
