Hands down, Sunday’s are my favorite day of the week and this one past, although chilly, was super relaxing. Totally over the snow, I decided my gray direction needed a pop of color. Brunch, followed by a stroll through the Winter wonderland that was Central Park ended with yummy nibbles and the Oscars.

Bold prints are perfect for Summer, or year round for that matter. The palm and leaf prints poping up everywhere fit right in with the warm weather and conjure up a fabulous island getaway. I find with any print, the larger one’s tend to look chic and modern as opposed to smaller versions. A neutral version is a bonus as any bright color pairs to perfection.

One of my favorite Autumn adventures was always driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC right as the seasons clicked and the leaves began to turn. The colors were simply breathtaking and it really solidified the kickoff of the holiday season.
This year, I’m just as excited to see the leaves cross over in NYC. I can see why it’s one of the best times to be in the City. A walk through Central Park over the weekend was the perfect way to take in the changing season.

Regardless of the current trends, the combination of black and white always works. Walking through Soho yesterday, I saw multiple variations of this color duo, which inspired my look for a dinner date that evening. I love a good black and white print, but sometimes simplicity can be unbelievably chic.

When I was in middle school, monochromatic outfits were all the rage. Perfectly matched leggings, socks, shoes and an over-sized tee (with a side knot tied no less) pretty much summed up my middle school fashion sense. Today, I still love the idea of wearing a neutral color head to toe-minus the matching scrunchie and tube socks 🙂. My go to color is usually black, but it’s lighter sibling is my current obsession…gray.
To further add to my personal denim wall (yes I need therapy), I began my search for the perfect gray jean. I can report back that 50 shades of grey is not just a best seller, it’s also the current state of the denim world. I ended up falling in love with J Brand’s version and already knew loved the fit. These were a close second.

The warmth gold creates has always made this metallic hue one of my favorites. It instantly adds a richness to any accessory and quite literally will goes with everything. As Fall approaches, bringing with it cooler tones and yummy Autumn inspired knits, I find myself adding a source of sunshine with pops of gold.
I have to admit, my gilded obsession started when I first spotted the gold version of Mr. Weitzman’s gladiators 🙂 How could I resist!
