Summertime always inspires dramatic, attention grabbing colors, and to it’s opposition, monochromatic black dominates my Winter selections.
I have always loved head to toe black for it’s ability to ooze instant chic, but adding bright statement accessories and different textures always make things interesting. Leather leggings and a royal blue tote will be on high rotation this season!

With fashion week coming to an end, I found myself inspired, but overwhelmed by the massive conglomeration of trends that all came together in a fantastic display everywhere I’ve looked in the city. It was unbelievable to finally be in the midst of everything, and while I saw some outfits that were true fashion genius the way colors and prints came together, I also noted the undeniable elegance of the women that chose classic pieces, tailored to perfection with a red lip. Amidst all the midi skirts, statement shoes and every other trend imaginable, the beauty found in simplicity was simply striking.

I have never been a huge fan of pearls (I know-a sin being from the South). One of the first gifts my now husband gave me when we were dating, was a strand of pearls, which I can now admit, I only wore because they were gifted from him. However; I’m loving the pearl cluster necklaces. Something about them feels updated and uber chic. I love the sophistication this simple accessory adds to any wardrobe.

Sunshine at last!….and the perfect excuse to slowly incorporate spring trends into my wardrobe. I love that nautical is already popping up everywhere, considering I love stripes and anything inspired by the coast.
To keep the trend from looking to literal, I decided to pair a darker blazer and similar hued rolled jeans to keep a neutral look. The finishing touch, a pop of hot pink….naturally!
Jeans: Current/Elliott (similar here & here), Tee: Feel the piece (similar here & here), Blazer: Theyskens’ Theory-sold out (similar here), Belt: Sydney Markets (similar here), Shoes: Luxury Rebel, Watch: Nixon (similar here), Sunnies: Ray-Ban, Clutch: Clare Vivier, Necklace: Bauble Bop (similar here), Lips: NARS is Capucine
When the weather is chilly, I always gravitate toward richer more neutral colors, and with Fall right around the corner, the darker siblings of summer’s neons and pastels are everywhere. I decided to rebel with a bit of hot pink, which quickly transformed my simple, black dress and booties into something lighter. A brightly colored blazer is a closet staple for me. It works for every season and always is reminiscent of the warmer months….which is a must for me during winter!
