Shine

 

After a hard return to reality (being welcomed by a foot of snow after our trip to Anguilla), I took full advantage of the unusually warm weather over the weekend.  There are many parts of the city to love but one of my favorites is the amount of parks.  Central is of course my favorite but I also love an afternoon in Washington Square Park.  There is always an energy and people watching is standard.

How is it that something as simple as a bright color can also brighten the day?  Hot pink is such a mood lifter and these shorts are some of the happiest I’ve ever come across.  With the Pride Parade on over the weekend, bursting with every color of the rainbow, what better time to add to the color spectrum. A crisp white shirt and garden party inspired heels pull everything together for a clean and polished look.

Simple

After taking some much needed time off and now calling NYC home for 3 years, sometimes all I crave is simplicity.  There was something so relaxing about living out of one carry on suitcase for 7 days. Almost made me want to do a huge closet purge….almost 🙂

Recently, I’ve been building my accessory collection.  Basic denim, clean pumps and a crisp white shirt are instantly elevated with a few key pieces.  A pop of color on the nail, tortoise sunnies and golden details pull everything together.
