Transitioning into Fall is all about texture and rich colors. Like any new season, there is always flurry of “must have” trends and the “color du jour of the season”, but I find that some key pieces have staying power year after year. My winning trifecta: A rich lip and nail, textured bag and/or heels and a perfectly tailored blazer. I love the crispness of a white blazer, even into Fall and Winter. Paired with dark denim, any detailed accessory will shine. A dark berry lip and nail pull everything together as the perfect transition into the new season.
Blazer: Theory (similar here), Jeans: Topshop-size up (similar here), Shoes: Valentino (also love these), Sunnies: Westward Leaning, Lips: MAC in hang up, Nails: Essie in Berry Hard, Clutch: Louboutin (similar here & here), Ring: Loren Stewart.
I’ve always been a sucker for anything leopard and with the current influx of animal print accessories, I’ve been in heaven. I fell hard for these Kenneth Cole sneaks, especially for city life. I can’t wait to pair them with some distressed cutoffs in the Spring (please hurry back warmth), but for now, leather leggings are my go to partner in crime for my favorite print.
Leather leggings: Alice + Olivia (also love these (ON SALE!) and this vegan version), Chambray top: Blank NYC (similar here & here), Shoes: Kenneth Cole (similar here & here), Sweater: Hayden (similar here), Hat: Eugenia Kim (similar here & here), Bag: Proenza Schouler, Sunnies: Westward Leaning, Ring: Loren Stewart.
Black and white is such a no brainer for me, and when I came across this fantastic little shirt dress, I knew the possibilities were endless. Tattered denim and a pop of red pulled everything together.
NYC has seen it’s fair share of snow recently. Being a Southerner, this is the most I’ve experienced in my lifetime. With the City being blanketed in white for the better part of January, I found my obnoxiously bright hat and sweater were perfect against the snow. I have quickly learned happy colors are a must in order to survive Winter here ~That or a trip to Bora Bora 🙂
Coat: Burberry (other color here & love this similar one), Sweater: J. Crew (similar here), Beanie: J. Crew (similar here & here), Jeans: AG Jeans (also love these), Sunnies: Westward Leaning, Clutch: Sophie Hulme (also love in black), Shoes: Superga X The Row (tan version here & basic high top here & black basic version ).
Although the snow stopped several days ago, the evidence is still everywhere. Central Park is a favorite destination with it’s dusted trees and various sledding shenanigans happening on every steep incline. Layering was my method of choice to keep out the chill.
Jacket: Doma (similar here & vegan version here), Sweater: Madewell-sold out (similar here & here), Plaid dress (worn under sweater): Vanishing Elephant (similar here & here), Boots: Hunter x Rag & Bone (also love these), Clutch: Elizabeth and James-sold out (similar here & here), Tights: Wolford, Sunnies: Westward Leaning.
