Distressed denim is currently having a moment-not that it ever leaves the spotlight. Summer always has iterations of tattered shorts and boyfriend’s that are perfectly broken in and frayed. Being denim, of course you know I have a whole stack dedicated to all that is ripped. To the average onlooker, it probably seems I have 15 pairs of the same thing but for me, each one is unique and has a story to accompany some of their battle wounds.
I try not to play favorites with my distressed lovelies, however; when it comes to broken in denim, one of my go-to’s is always AG. They are unbelievably soft and the distressing is perfection. Like most brands, AG has many different washes and styles. I love their skinny ankle as I’m petite. The Slit is one of their most popular styles, but one I had not ever purchased. I was after something that fell between a slim boyfriend and a skinny and found that in AG’s newest Slit member.
