Polished

How is it that something as simple as a bright color can also brighten the day?  Hot pink is such a mood lifter and these shorts are some of the happiest I’ve ever come across.  With the Pride Parade on over the weekend, bursting with every color of the rainbow, what better time to add to the color spectrum. A crisp white shirt and garden party inspired heels pull everything together for a clean and polished look.

So I was totally hoping to pair my white denim with a tank and some amazing wedges (and a beach side cocktail), but quickly dropped back into reality when the snow started coming down again on Sunday.  I love a pair of white jeans and already own a few pairs that I looked long and hard for.  This season, I was missing a basic pair with minimal distressing.  I had a few finalist in the mix and ultimately all would have worked, but I decided the simplicity and fit of the FRAME’s were spot on.

Spring in my step

I always tend to buy multiples of my favorite things. If I’m in search of the perfect chambray top, I usually end up with 3 different, but equally loved variations.  Recently, the common thread in all of my shoe purchases has been neutral, neutral, neutral.  I love a shoe that will work with everything yet not take away from other outfit details.  So, in a effort to break my “safe” color cycle, I decided a bold pop of color was in order (also a bonus during the notoriously darker Winter months).  It may not be Spring yet, but at least my feet think so!

Rugged up

The New Year is officially in full swing in our house.  We have a new furry house guest, a furniture refresh and a new 2015 travel schedule.  My birthday also happens to be looming at the end of the week-which I promptly began celebrating early when my new python goodie turned up in the mail. 🙂  During the gloomy and cold weekend, I decided to throw on my chunkiest knit and take my new accessory out for a bit of decorating inspiration along with some light wardrobe shopping for my new furry baby.
