One of my favorite treats is angel food cake. With is beautifully cloud like texture, it makes each mouthful a heavenly experience. I decided to infuse a fresh twist with the addition of lemons and raspberries. The paring is amazing together and both are abundantly in season right now. Fresh lemon icing was the crowning glory of this yummy confection. I love this recipe for angel food cake.

Sunday morning and it’s off to the fruit and flower markets! I love all the bright colors and amazing fruits to pick from. Drawing inspiration from the assorted breeds of lovely red and jewel toned apples (one of my favorite fruits to eat and cook with), I decided to slip into my red pants. I am obsessed with the rainbow explosion happening in the jean world at the moment.

Red is one of my favorite colors. It has the power to transform an otherwise dull day into a fabulous one. A staple like a maxi is instantly turned up 10 levels with the perfect shade of red. After a rather intense workout Friday, I was ready for a relaxing brunch and a breezy maxi on Saturday. As per usual, one of my shopping excursions to Gena Chandler ended with the purchase of this vibrant piece. The girls host Rachel Pally several times a year for trunk shows and even stock custom pieces by the designer.

“Love and Scandal are the best sweeteners of tea”
One of my secret obsessions is tea, so when I stumbled across Zensation Tea House, I instantly fell in love. This little gem is tucked away in the eclectic Surry Hills area of Sydney. The owner and staff have so much passion and knowledge about tea. The yam cookies are slightly addictive and are the perfect sidekick to the amazing selections of teas. Blossoming flower tea was perfect for an afternoon of girl talk and relaxation.

I absolutely love a day at the beach, especially during a warmer that usual Aussie winter. Wrightsville Beach in NC will always have my heart, but Bondi in Sydney isn’t to shabby to have around the corner. Any chance I get to accessorize with scarves excites me – I’m slightly addicted. Love Quotes are some of my favorite. They are perfect year round and the options literally span the color spectrum. When I’m home in NC, I never leave without visiting my favorite girls at Gena Chandler. The Love Quotes collection is incredible and my neck is grateful they will ship anywhere-even Australia.

It’s an understatement to say I have a little crush on my new Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC. It’s that perfect shade of orangey-red that packs the color punch I just adore in a bright accessory. Some of our dear friends were getting married in the country over the weekend which required versatile pieces and my first true taste of staying warm-it was near freezing in the evenings. The mini went from cross the body to clutch and even came in handy as a belt to brighten my otherwise simple attire.
