Sweet

lace chanel

I know, I know – white after Labor Day is seen as a no-no (I don’t entirely agree with that rule), but technically this is off white and realistically it was 200 degrees in NYC  up until a few days ago.  I decided to make the best of the sticky weekend and slip on this sweet little lace number while I still had the chance. With the Season’s finally clicking into gear, the next pairing with this piece will have to be a cozy knit.

Fall Hit List

fallhit

New York seems to be hanging onto the last days of Summer with a hot and sticky Labor Day weekend, even though Fall started months ago in the fashion world.  With a flurry of cozy knits and buttery leather leggings, it’s hard to resist the ever growing sweater stacks in stores even though it’s still hot.

I always find myself overwhelmed at the beginning of a new season, trying to decide which key pieces will anchor my wardrobe for the coming months, and which to spend less on as a trend.  The above hit list picks are my must haves for the cooler months, season after season.

Clutch: Alexander Wang, Sweater: Vince, Boyfriend jeans: Current/Elliott, Sunnies: Celine, Leather leggings: Helmut Lang (15% off code-WHITE), Coat: River Island, Nail Polish: Chanel, Shoes: Valentino, Lips: Dior in Vie D’enfer.

More options….

Leather Leggings: Helmut Lang, All Saints,  Budget friendly here & faux option here.

Cozy Sweater: Asos, Colored knit, Budget friendly here, love this one.

Animal Print Shoe: Leopard, flat version here, lizard, color pop.

Textured Clutch: Obsessed with this one, Clare Vivier quilted, detailed version.

Neutral Sunnies: Structured, Detailed.

Boyfriend jeans: basic, distressed, slim boy, love this basic option (Extra 40% off-WEEKEND).

Dark Lip: bloodred, rich Chanel.

Dark Polish: outside the box, MAC in Sin, TF in Crimson Noir.

Neutral Coat: style steal, love this one, tailored, cashmere splurge.

I’m always up for a good pair of jeans, especially distressed ones, and I find a tee and flats are the perfect pairing. However; the same goes for the complete opposite.  Sometimes nothing feels more chic than rips over a killer pair of stilettos and of course a fabulous bag.  I love the juxtaposition of luxurious and laid back and when I added a new pair of Louboutins to the family last week, my ripped denim was already calling.

Love me knot

Every girl has an abundance of one item or another in her closet and for me… wait for it …I have 3 drawers full of scarves. Yes I know this comes as no surprise.  My love affair was seriously fueled when I added my first Theodora & Callum to the mix.  The Tie-all is such a versatile piece and I have to admit, I really don’t utilize it to full creative capacity when quickly draping it around my neck on the way out the door. I decided to shake up my scarf rut and try something new with the triple knot.  I loved the newness just 3 little knots brought.  I fully intend to keep my scarves busy this Summer with the endless possibilities!

Check out Theodora & Callum’s ways to wear videos here.
