Lavender

I firmly believe long stretches of cold can affect the mood and coming from Sydney, I was completely unprepared for what lay in store here.

I found the best recourse was a fluffy lavender scarf partnered with a cozy sweater dress.  It’s still sub zero but at least I’m warm and swaddled in a happy color 🙂

Black and white is such a no brainer for me, and when I came across this fantastic little shirt dress, I knew the  possibilities were endless.  Tattered denim and a pop of red pulled everything together.

Neon Lights

neonlightscrossbNYC has seen it’s fair share of snow recently.  Being a Southerner, this is the most I’ve experienced in my lifetime.  With the City being blanketed in white for the better part of January, I found my obnoxiously bright hat and sweater were perfect against the snow.  I have quickly learned happy colors are a must in order to survive Winter here ~That or a trip to Bora Bora 🙂

ZipZip

I am having a major leather crush at the moment. Having come from Sydney, it really was never cold enough to have an abundance of pieces, but with NYC still smack dab in the middle of frigid weather, my leather collection is front and center.

I had been on the hunt for the perfect leather skirt for quite some time now and felt butterflies when I came across this one.  It ticked all the boxes and bonus, it can be worn many different ways.  Zippers have become the new “it” detail on everything from denim to leather. My leather pencil can have a side zip, back zip or front zip.  Perfection for a fabulous staple with a multitude of options.

Winter Wine

Wine is one of those colors that can act as a neutral or even be a pop of color during Winter.  This was the reasoning behind my color choice for these leather pants.  Leather is an investment, which usually has me leaning towards the always popular black option, but the fig has been on surprisingly high rotation all season.
